Nominations Committee

Membership:

The Nominations Committee consists of at least two (2) board members. No Director eligible for re-election may serve on this committee during that election cycle.

Mission Statement:

The Nominations Committee manages the Board election process by soliciting candidates, reviewing qualifications, and conducting a fair and transparent election in accordance with FIRMA’s rules.

Functions:

  • Solicit nominations via the FIRMA FORUM and membership email.
  • Review candidate eligibility, including good-standing membership of at least three (3) years.
  • Collect candidate background information and personal statements.
  • Prepare a slate of recommended candidates for Board approval.
  • Oversee the voting process, including ballots, deadlines, and certification of results.
  • Validate results with the Finance Committee Chair.
  • Manage write-in candidates and tie-break run-off votes.

Committee Meetings

The Committee meets virtually as needed to administer the nominations and election process.
