FIRMA Membership Categories
The Fiduciary and Investment Risk Management Association (FIRMA) offers four individual membership categories: Certified, Sustaining, Retired, and Student Members.
>>Certified Members Certified Members are individuals who can provide proof of professional certification in fiduciary, audit, compliance, or risk management from a recognized sponsoring entity within the financial services industry. Certified Members are required to:
- Attest to the continuing education obligations of their certifying entity
>>Sustaining Members Sustaining Members are individuals employed in the financial services industry or supporting services. Certification is not required, and there is no CE obligation.
>>Retired Members Members that have retired from active employment in the financial services industry or supporting services, and have been a FIRMA member for at least five years, are eligible to transition to Retired status. Please submit a written request to the FIRMA Office: [email protected]
Retired Members retain access to FIRMA Resources (Participate in peer groups and receive member discounts for FIRMA events); and retain member voting privileges. Note - there is no CE obligation.
>>Student Members Student Members are individuals currently enrolled full-time or part-time in an accredited college or university studying financial services (i.e. finance, accounting, economics, law, compliance, wealth management, risk management, etc).
Key Benefits of Student Membership:
- No Annual Dues: Enjoy membership benefits at no cost.
- Two-Year Membership Term: Student status is valid for up to two years.
- Access to FIRMA Resources: Participate in peer groups and receive member discounts for FIRMA events.
Please Note: Student Members do not have voting privileges.
