Our 23rd Annual National Risk Management Training Conference will be held April 26-30, 2009 at the Sheraton New Orleans. We hope you will mark your calendars now for this important event. The cost of the 2009 conference will be as follows (no price change from 2008):

We have purposely waited to announce our Conference KEYNOTE topic(s) and speaker(s) for New Orleans so as to bring you the most relevant and critical expert summaries. As always, our conference will offer outstanding topics of interest to support our Fiduciary and Investment Risk Management program including: “Counterparty Risks”; “Regulatory Update” sessions from the OCC, FDIC, OTS, FED, and SEC; “Fiduciary KRI’s”; “Structured Products”; “Global Corporate Greening”; “Regulation R Here & Now – Post Implementation Issues”; “Alternative Investment Suitability”; “Operational Risk Management”; “FINRA Proposed Rule 3110”; “FAS 157”; “Broker/Dealer Conflicts of Interest”; “Fiduciary Litigation” and over 20 other topics.
On Sunday, April 26, 2009, FIRMA is offering two 3-hour pre-conference workshops. The cost of each workshop is $125.00 to FIRMA members; $250.00 to non-members. The Workshop I topic will be “Account Administration Risk Ranking”, led by Becky Kelly and Roger Pond of The Fiduciary Education Center, LLC. Our Sunday Workshop II topic will be “Fiduciary Compliance Boot Camp”, led by Duane Lee, Executive Vice President of Cannon Financial Institute.
We are also offering a 2-hour In-Conference Seminar on Tuesday afternoon. The seminar topic will be “Insurance Hot Topics for Fiduciaries”, led by Scott Kirby, Managing Partner for Advanced Settlements, Inc. The cost for this seminar is $100.00 for FIRMA members and $165.00 for non-members.
