   NATIONAL TRAINING CONFERENCE NOTES Hotel and Amenities The conference hotel is the Radisson Resort and Spa, 7171 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ. The Radisson Resort & Spa Scottsdale is a resort oasis, located in the heart of charming Scottsdale. A 3-year recipient of the Gold Key Award, the resort is found nestled between Saguaro cacti and beautiful Camelback Mountain. Located only 12 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and minutes from world-class golf courses, the Radisson Resort & Spa is the ideal location for business or pleasure. Scottsdale Fashion Square, Old Town and several other attractions offer some of the best activities, shopping, and nightlife in Arizona and are minutes from the resort. With the recent completion of a $15 million renovation the hotel now offers 4 pools, 21 tennis courts, an Arroyo Western Town, a 10 acre greenbelt and 2 championship 18-hole golf courses at McCormick Ranch (golf bordering the resort). Plus, a new world-class 20,000 square foot Mist Spa offers 15 treatment rooms, a 75’ lap pool, aerobic studio and more. Please note that check-in time at the Radisson is 4:00pm; checkout time is 12:00noon. The Radisson cannot guarantee special requests for early arrival or late departures; however, the hotel will make every attempt to accommodate those attendees who arrive prior to check-in time. Hotel Reservations Conference attendees will receive a reduced group rate of $170.00 single or double occupancy. Please note that rates are currently subject to a 14.54% combined city and resort tax. FIRMA has a block of rooms reserved for conference attendees; however, this block will be released March 19, 2002. Therefore, ALL RESERVATIONS MADE AFTER 5:00PM, March 19, 2002, ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. For attendees wishing to stay at the Radisson either before or after the conference, our special conference group rates will be honored from April 19-26, 2002. Hotel parking is free. Dress Casual dress is recommended for all conference functions. The Scottsdale area is world famous for its sunny and warm climate, so enjoy 85F degree-days with slightly cooler evenings. While attending sessions, a sweater or jacket is always recommended. Directions from the Airport The Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is just 12 miles and is 20 minutes from the hotel. Take the 44th street exit north approxi-mately 9 miles (the road will curve east or right). Turn left onto Tatum Boulevard heading north. Turn right onto Lincoln Drive (2 miles). Turn left onto Scottsdale Road. The resort is approximately 1 mile ahead on the right hand side just past the Scottsdale Seville Shopping area. 7171 North Scottsdale Road. On Tuesday, April 23rd, FIRMA’s program ends at 12:30pm and attendees are free to enjoy your choice of Scottsdale’s popular tourist attractions.
