15TH ANNUAL NATIONAL TRAINING CONFERENCE - NOTES

Hotel and Amenities
The conference hotel is the Hilton Palacio del Rio, 200 South Alamo, San Antonio, TX. The Hilton is located directly on the famous San Antonio River Walk. The Hilton is a Mobil 3-Star, 4-Diamond property and all the guest rooms have private balconies with in-room coffee makers, hairdryers, ironing boards with irons. The hotel features three dining and entertainment locations - the Ibiza Bar and Restaurant, Durty Nelly's Irish Pub, and Tex's River Walk Sports Bar, all on or overlooking the River Walk. The Hilton also offers an outdoor pool and complete fitness room. Nearby attractions that are within a 6 block walk or trolley ride include: The Alamo, La Villita (galleries, cafes and shops), El Mercado (33 specialty shops) the Tower of Americas, Rivercenter Mall, and the Institute of Texas Cultures. Please note that check-in time at the Hilton is 3:00pm; check-out time is 11:00am. Special requests for early arrival or late departures can not be guaranteed by the hotel; however, the Hilton will make every attempt to accommodate those attendees who arrive prior to check-in time.

Hotel Reservations
Conference attendees will receive a reduced group rate of $185.00 single or double occupancy. Please note that rates are currently subject to an 16.75% combined city and resort tax. Be sure to mention that you are with the National Association of Trust Audit and Compliance Professionals when you make your reservation for the Fifteenth Annual Conference.

We have a block of rooms reserved for conference attendees; however, this block will be released February 16, 2001 Therefore, ALL RESERVATIONS MADE AFTER 5:00pm, FEBRUARY 16, 2001, ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. For attendees wishing to say at the Hilton either before or after the conference, our special conference group rates will be honored from March 16-25, 2001. Parking charges at the Hilton are $21.50 per day for valet parking and $10.50 per day for self parking - in and out privileges are allows.

Dress
Casual dress is recommended for all conference functions. The Central Texas area has a sunny and mild climate, so enjoy 80F degree days with slightly cooler evenings. While attending sessions, a sweater or jacket is always recommended.

Directions from the Airport
The San Antonio Airport is just 12 miles and 15 minutes from the hotel. Take Highway 281 south from main airport exit; continue on 281 south for 7 miles. Take Exit #141A Commerce Street and turn right on Commerce St.; go west for 0.5 miles. Turn left at the fourth traffic light at Losoya Street; continue on Losoya St. for a block; hotel is on the right. Transportation is available at the baggage claim area. Taxi fare is approximately $14.00 one-way for up to 4 persons. Round trip transfers are available through the airport shuttle, "S.A. TRANS", currently for $8.00 one-way or $14.00 round trip.

FIRMA will then inform the hotel of your special needs.

Special Events
The FIRMA Board of Directors will host a special welcome reception on Monday evening, from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Come join us and enjoy this time to meet old and new friends attending the conference.

On Tuesday, March 20th, FIRMA's program ends at 12:30pm and attendees are free to enjoy your choice of San Antonio's popular tourist attractions.
